How are Moulton College using Peerscroller?

At Moulton College, staff have embedded Peerscroller into tutorial and personal development delivery to help tackle sensitive topics. We heard from Jacqui Hughes (Head of Innovation) and Katie Sturgess (Success Coach) who highlight the benefits driving this approach, including increased staff confidence, consistency of resources, and more inclusive delivery. Here's their tips:

Tips from Moulton College for Embedding Peerscroller

Blend videos into existing delivery styles

“Peerscroller videos have been used both in session (shared via slides or discussion starters) and signposted for independent viewing, making them flexible for different delivery styles and learner needs."

Use the bite-sized content to introduce topics

“Staff have valued the bite sized, student friendly format, which helps reduce barriers when introducing topics such as county lines, knife crime, wellbeing and safeguarding.”

Reinforce learning through discussion & reflection

“In follow up discussions, students were able to recall and apply what they had learned, demonstrating good retention and understanding.”

Build staff confidence with consistent resources

"Peerscroller has helped increase confidence in delivering PSHE style content and provided a consistent, high quality resource staff can return to."

“Overall, Peerscroller has strengthened our tutorial offer, supported staff with high quality digital content, and helped embed important personal development themes in a way that feels relevant and engaging for FE learners.”
