World Mental Health Day 2026

World Mental Health Day takes place on 10 October 2026, with this year’s theme focusing on lived experiences of mental health and the importance of sharing our stories and talking openly about how we feel.

We’ve brought together three Peerscroller videos to help young people explore their own mental health, support the people around them and feel more confident starting conversations when they need to.

Use the videos as conversation starters in lessons, tutor time or one-to-one support, and give young people space to reflect, share and listen.

Talking about your mental health with your parents can feel difficult, especially if you’re not sure how they’ll respond. Sarah shares some tips to help you start the conversation, explain how you’re feeling and ask for the support you need.

Made in collaboration with The Molly Rose Foundation.

What can you do when a friend is struggling with their mental health? Esra explores how to be there for someone, listen without judgement and encourage them to seek support when they need it – while looking after yourself too.

Not sure where to start when it comes to looking after your mental health? Bruno shares some simple ways to take that first step, from recognising how you’re feeling to finding someone you trust to talk to.
