What will Peerscroller cost in 2026?

This January, we’re releasing the Peerscroller v2.2 update. Unlike previous updates, Version 2.2 won’t bring a ton of new features, but instead lays the technical groundwork for Peerscroller’s new pricing model.

For the past year, we’ve been offering schools, colleges, and other organisations the chance to get access to Peerscroller free-of-charge for their first 12 months of use.

Getting these settings started for free has been a great way to get Peerscroller into as many hands as possible while we’ve been finding our feet and working out a pricing model that will work best for schools, colleges, and other institutions.

We’ve been delighted with the response so far, and with the difference Peerscroller has already made in empowering young people to find their way in the modern world.

What’s new in Peerscroller 2.2?

The Standard Package

Unfortunately, we can’t keep Peerscroller totally free forever. Keeping the platform running and full of fresh content takes a lot of work from our writers, presenters, editors, and developers – and all of that costs money.

But, as our free-of-charge offer reaches its end, we want to make sure that every young person who stands to benefit from Peerscroller can still get their hands on it.

So, we’ve worked hard to make the pricing for Peerscroller as accessible as it can possibly be.

That’s why, under the new pricing model, we’ll be offering Peerscroller access to schools, colleges, and other organisations for a flat fee of £1.50 per learner on roll each year, starting at £250 per year.

We think this pricing hits the sweet spot, where we can keep delivering high-quality content made by real humans (and free of AI slop), while fitting into school and college budgets.

To help spread the cost, we’ll be charging by monthly direct debit and funding can be shared across multiple budgets.

Our partner schools and colleges are already finding funding Peerscroller in a number of different pots, including PSHE, personal development, safeguarding, inclusion, core curriculum, Pupil Premium, and even marketing.

The Basic Package

However, we appreciate school budgets are tighter than ever – and when we say we want everybody to have access to Peerscroller, we really mean everybody.

So, we’re also offering Peerscroller access via a Basic Package, completely free-of-charge.

With the Basic Package, schools, colleges, and other organisations can access a curated pack of over 150+ core videos, spread across the curriculum and covering Key Stages 2, 3, 4, and 5.

But here’s the bit we’re most excited about: learners and parents using the mobile app will still be able to access the full Standard suite of Peerscroller videos, whether their organisation is on the Standard or Basic Package.

That way, school and college staff have what they need to get started using Peerscroller videos in the classroom and sharing videos directly to learners’ mobile devices – while learners still get access to over 800 videos, for whenever they need some advice about real-life questions.

Basic Package vs Standard Package

Need to make sense of all that? Here’s how the two Packages compare:

In Development: Strategy Packs

Finally, we’re working on a new way to deliver Peerscroller video content that’s tailored to specific needs.

This is the kind of content that may not be relevant to the majority Peerscroller users, but will be a total gamechanger for some. That might mean meeting specific educational needs or addressing important local issues.

This sort of content can never make it up the priority list if you’re only looking at what’s best for the userbase as a whole – but it’s often absolutely essential for those it does apply to.

We’re calling these targeted video bundles Strategy Packs, and they’ll likely be available for a small additional fee alongside an organisation’s Basic or Standard Package.

By offering them as an optional extra, covering these vital topics becomes financially viable, even if they lie outside of the mainstream demand.

These Strategy Packs are still in development, but this Peerscroller update will lay the technical foundations to implement them once ready.

As always, we’ll be working with schools and colleges to make sure Strategy Packs do exactly what’s needed to be a genuinely helpful resource.

We’ll update you further once we know more about exactly how these will work, but if you have any comments or suggestions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

That’s all we have to report for now, but we’re already working on our next features update, so watch this space for more Peerscroller news.

In the meantime, thank you for using Peerscroller, and we’ll speak again soon!

All the best,
The Peerscroller team
