How to Create a Peerscroller Learner Account

Smartphones and socials put a whole universe of information at your fingertips.

But how do you know what to trust? That’s where Peerscroller comes in.

We’ve taken all the real-life knowledge you want to know about and packed it into bitesize videos from real peers, just like you.

Sound good? Then let’s get started. This video guide will walk you through all the steps you need to get set up, including:

  1. Where to download Peerscroller

  2. Verifying your school, college, or other organisation has got Peerscroller

  3. Creating your Peerscroller account

What is Peerscroller?

Okay, here’s the basic idea: every day, we hear from young people that they want to learn more about the real world.

But schools and colleges already do that, don’t they? PSHE lessons, Guidance, PD tutorials - whatever you call it. And yet the response tends to be… less enthusiastic.

It seems like students really do want to learn more that they can use in real life - but the way it’s presented isn’t working for them.

That’s why we made Peerscroller. Peerscroller videos are created by a team of young people, just like you. They know what it’s like being young in the 21st century - and the format of the videos matches.

So that means no lectures - just bitesize clips packed with reliable info.

How do I create a Peerscroller account?

Everything you need to know to get started is in the video, but here are the basic steps:

  1. Download the Peerscroller app from the App Store on iOS or the Play Store on Android.

  2. Enter your organisation’s unique six-digit code or scan your organisation’s unique QR code.

  3. Enter your details, plus your email address and a password for your account.

  4. Verify your email with the code we send you, and you’re good to go!

What if my school doesn’t have Peerscroller?

Right now, Peerscroller is only available via participating schools, colleges, private tutors, and youth groups. We’re looking at other ways we can get our vids into your hands - but for now, you’ll need to be part of an organisation that’s teamed up with us.

If your school or college doesn’t have Peerscroller yet, but you’d like to access it, ask your teachers about getting Peerscroller, or drop us a line via our contact page and we’ll see what we can do.

Where can I learn more about Peerscroller?

Here’s our page for learners - it’s a good place to start.

Apart from that, anyone is free to download the app and sample a few videos (even without entering your organisation’s code), so give it a go.
